Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali is expected to play against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final on Friday.
Nwabali picked up a knee injury during the Round of 16 win against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon last weekend.
The 27-year-old was replaced by Francis Uzoho with 10 minutes left in the encounter.
The Chippa United goalie undergone test on Monday (today) to ascertain the severity of the injury.
“Stanley was at the hospital this morning to ascertain the extent of the injury and it was nothing serious,” a reliable camp source said.
“We expect him to be back in training this week. Thank God we have around four days before the game.”
Nwabali has made four appearances for the Super Eagles at the AFCON 2023 finals.
The Super Eagles will take on the Black Antelopes at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Friday.
