The Nigerian players could be seen in high spirits as they sang and clapped joyfully.
Head coach, Jose Peseiro has named a strong starting XI for their opening game against Equatorial Guinea at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations today.
Peseiro has picked Chippa United’s Stanley Nwabili in goal while assistant captain, William Troost-EKong will pair Semi Ajayi in central defence.
Ola Aina and Zaidu Sanusi will play as fullbacks.
Alhassan Yusuf, Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi make up the midfield trio.
Moses Simon and Ademola Lookman will play from the right and left wings respectively, while Napoli hitman will lead the attack.
The Portuguese has adopted a 4-3-3 formation for the game.
