Presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has urged his supporters to put their minds at rest amid the controversies surrounding the coming presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Tinubu had a few days revealed how he ensured that President Muhammadu Buhari became President of Nigeria after contesting and failing three times.
His revelation was taken as an attack on Buhari by many as seen on social media.
This led to speculations that Buhari might work against him, thereby preventing him from getting the presidential ticket of the APC.
Also, there have been speculations that Buhari already has an anointed candidate in the person of the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan.
Also, former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, a southerner, was tipped as Buhari’s favourite if the President is unable to convince the party that power should remain in the North.
With the primary election skated for Tuesday, Tinubu has urged his supporters to keep their mind calm, a way of telling them to ignore the rumours floating around.
This was disclosed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Lagos State, Gboyega Akosile, via tiwtter.
Akosile wrote, “Good morning. A message from @officialABAT to all his supporters. E lo fakanbale(Keep Calm).”
