Sarri Ball off to a Flyer as Chelsea spank Huddersfield

Maurizio Sarri’s reign at Stamford Bridge got off to a blistering start as Chelsea defeated Huddersfield Town 3-0 at the Kirklees Stadium.

Chelsea started the match without Hazard who was on the bench and Fabregas missed out due to injury.

Chelsea took the lead through Ngolo Kante who finished off Willian’s cross to score his first EPL goal since 2017.

Jorginho added the second when Marcos Alonso was fouled, the Italian finished calmly to increase the lead.

The first half ended with Chelsea leading 2-0, the Blues improved after the restart.

Huddersfield had moments of their own but they couldn’t trouble Kepa Arizabalaga who made his debut for Chelsea.

Eden Hazard came on for Willian in the second half, it took him just four minute to make impact when he released Pedro down the right, the Spaniard lob the ball over the onrushing Hamer to give Chelsea a 3-0 victory over Huddersfield Town.

Fulham started their campaign with a 2-0 loss at home to Crystal Palace.
