Terrorist bandits have claimed responsibility for the crashed surveillance helicopter in Badna, Chukuba ward of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
Kemi Kilani recalls a surveillance helicopter crashed in Badna, Mina, on Monday.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, while meeting with the Niger State governor in his office, Abuja, on Monday, said that weather conditions, among others, may have contributed to the helicopter crash, adding that investigation had commenced to determine the probable cause of the incident.
But the terrorists, in a two-minute-and-seventeen-second trending video, claimed they brought down the jet using an AK-47 rifle.
The narrator in the video, who spoke in Hausa, said they belonged to the Dogo Gide group, one of the notorious bandits that have been terrorising parts of Niger State, causing the deaths of many farmers and security operatives.
