Balarabe was the second nominees to be screened by the lawmakers.
But he collapsed fainted shortly after he took his turn.

A wheel chair was immediately rushed to the Chamber as he could not be revived to walk by himself.
Balarabe replaced the former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, who was declined confirmation due to security concerns.
