A true love story! “She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me” Chidi weds Nkiru

Whoop, we bring you another Kevin Obosi and KFB collaboration! Happy Monday sweet hearts…
Meet our couple of the week Chidiebere Uwadoka and Nkiru Nwegbu.

 Chidi is a medical doctor based in Dublin.

Nkiru and Chidi’s wedding held in Manchester and with lots of friends and well
wishers from Dublin and the UK.  The solemnization was at the St.
Thomas Church stockpot while the very colorful reception was at the lovely Davenport Green hall in
Manchester.

You see, at the wedding reception, Chidi got the guest laughing when he made his speech, he described
his wife as an ANGEL and the BEST thing that’s ever happened to him, aww!

Also, Nkiru’s dad gave a very emotional speech at the reception and told
the guests how ‘SPECIAL’ her daughter is and how’s she’s dedicated her
young life serving humanity in any form she can especially through her
church.

Narrating how they met, Nkiru says “I was born  in and have lived in Manchester my whole life. I met Chidi through OFNC, a Christian fellowship my parents had been taking me too since I was born.”
BTW,  Chidi has an outgoing personality but to
the right place and at the right time. He loves travelling and
playing football. He is a fan of Manchester United. 
He thinks he is a
likeable guy but could be tough and annoying sometimes, but one thing for sure, he likes to be around productive and
inspiring people.

 Their love story
“I was told of this Overseas Fellowship Network of Christians in Manchester by my aunties. They called it discipleship and encouraged me and my cousins to attend. Week after week, we were invited but for some reason, I never made it there. 
My cousin started attending occasionally, and started convincing me to attend. I was still very reluctant, but one faithful Sunday evening  (The first day I met my lady), I casually followed my cousin. We came in late and a few minutes later my lady was at the podium. Afterwards we casually exchanged pleasantries.

 A few days later, I, my cousin, my lady and her cousin hung out a few times.
I was away from Manchester for about 12months or more. During this time there were no contacts made with this gorgeous lady. On my return to Manchester, through the help of my cousin I reconnected back to the now angel of my heart. 
We started talking, and meanwhile I was praying for God’s direction regarding my future partner.  Over time she proved to be everything my heart desired in a woman and she won the jackpot of the one and only lady I could give one of my kidneys if need be.

I tried to step up the men’s game, she resisted many times, but due to persistent conviction about her, I prayed, I did everything humanly possible to get to know her. I chatted, joked, cajoled, called, visited and pressed on until she gave in and accepted to be mine. ” Chidi narrates with all joy.

And then he breathes in and says “Nkiru/Nikky is the most amazing, wonderful, gorgeous, loving, respectful and God fearing lady in my world and you know what, I love her.”

Proposal: 
“It was Valentines weekend and we had planned to go out for dinner that evening. Chidi mentioned that he would like us to go and see his friend from Australia who was staying at the  Hilton Hotel. I agreed to go along not thinking anything of it.
 

We came to the place his friend was supposedly staying.  There was a Hilton employee standing outside the room with two tall glasses of a sparkling beverage.  I just thought this friend of his was very welcoming. Upon opening the door I saw rose petals scattered on the floor and a sign saying ‘NIKKY WILL YOU MARRY ME’ and of course at the center of the room there was  ‘golden’ ring with a rose.

While I was still looking around, feeling overwhelmed by the situation Chidi did the traditional thing and promptly got down and one knee to ask me the question. To which of course I said Yes!!! There were of course a few tears that followed.

I called a few friends and my parents before we headed off too dinner.  I love the fact that he made it such a memorable experience. Of course I kept the sign, the rose and a few petals. ” Nkiru narrates.

 Final words from Nkiru: “Chidi and I are both still planning for the future. Whatever happens, I
feel blessed that it’s Chidi I am planning with and sharing the rest of
my life with. I am so excited about the future, I believe God has
amazing things in store for us. I hope”
