Why Tinubu was absent at peace accord ceremony in Abuja – Dino Melaye

You're not fit for 2023 presidency, Melaye blasts Tinubu

The spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign, Senator Dino Melaye, has claimed to know why the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was absent at the Peace Accord signing ceremony in Abuja.

KEMI FILANI NEWS had reported that Tinubu was absent at the ceremony, which was held on Thursday at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja.

The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and other party candidates were physically present.

Tinubu was, however, represented by his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

Reacting to Tinubu’s absence, Melaye said he knows why the former Lagos governor was absent from the Presidential Peace Accord signing ceremony.

Melaye stated this in a video on his Facebook page, however, failed to state the reason the APC candidate was absent.

He said, “I noticed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the only presidential candidate who was absent at the signing of the National Peace Accord today. He was obviously the only one absent.

“I know why he was absent. Unfortunately, there was no provision for thumbprinting. You definitely have to sign. Atiku signed and that is all I have to say”.
