The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Vice-Presidential candidate Kashim Shettima and governors elected under the platform of the ruling APC visited the residence of former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday.
The five APC governors who joined Tinubu and his running mate, Shettima, to visit Jonathan include Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara, Bello Matawale of Zamfara, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Simon Lalong of Plateau and Dapo Abiodun Ogun.
The details of the meeting are yet to be revealed at the time of filling this report, but there are indications that it is about the 2023 elections.
It could be recalled that the APC unseated Jonathan in 2015, becoming the first opposition party to defeat an incumbent president.
KEMI FILANI NEWS had reported that Tinubu met with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and two other People’s Democratic Party, PDP governors, Samuel Ortom of Benue and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, in London, United Kingdom.
