Yusuf Datti, the running of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has urged supporters popularly known as Obidients not to allow the BBNaija reality TV show to distract them.
Many of the supporters of the presidential bid of the Labour Party’s presidential candidates are believed to be youths who are active on social media.
However, with the commencement of another season of BBNaija, Datti fears many of them may decide to have their campaign energy doused by the reality TV show.
Expressing his fears, Datti, wrote on Twitter: “Dear #Obidients please don’t be distracted with the new season of the Tv show #BBNaija, we have a battle ahead of us.”
Reacting, one @IsDamisa wrote, “Pls respect other people’s past-time. Face the serious battle of building a formidable structure for our party across all strata. It’s obviously lacking and calls for concern. Meanwhile, allow those who want to enjoy BBN do so in peace.”
@iamsolify wrote, “It’s hard to say the youths won’t watch bbn but then I think we should think of how we can campaign on the program since it’s where the crowd is for now. All those messages showing below the screen while the show is own should be dominated by OBIdients. Can we all do that?”
@chukwudiawa wrote, “I don’t think there’s any TV show that is enough to make people forget that APC has made life hard for all of us. Even if people watch BBN all day long, a step out of the house reminds you of the untold hardship. Our head is still in the game.”
