Fire has razed the Kogi State House of Assembly complex in Lokoja, the State capital.
It was gathered that the early morning fire extensive damaged the floor of the house through the roof of the Chamber.
According to PUNCH, a source who spoke anonymously said he suspected an explosion but couldn’t say who might be responsible.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Mathew Kolawole, said he suspects sabotage.
Kolawole, however, could not tell where the suspected sabotage might be from.
Responding to whether the fire incident might have any connection with the recent happening between the Assembly and Dangote group, the Speaker said, “We should leave security people to do their work and give us a report going forward.”
Kolawole and the state security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara, were among the early callers at the assembly complex.
