Adeleke reacts to victory, says I have brought light to Osun

Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party and winner of the Osun governorship election said that he has brought light to the state.

Adeleke stated this after he was the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him the winner.

KEMI FILANI NEWS had reported that INEC declared Adeleke the winner of the Osun State governorship election after he polled a total of 403,371 votes to defeat the incumbent, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who got 375,027 votes in the keenly contested race.

Reacting after INEC declared him the winner, the former federal lawmaker, via his verified Twitter handle, wrote, “I have brought light to Osun State.#Osundecided.”

Adeleke won 17 of the 30 Local Government Areas of the state, while the Oyetola won the remaining 13.

For the LGAs, PDP won in Ede North, Ede South, Ifelodun, Boluwaduro, Egbedore, Odo Otin, Osogbo, Ila, Atakumosa West, Olorunda, Ilesa West, Obokun, Oriade, Orolu, Ife North, Irepodun, and Ejigbo LGAs.

While the APC, on the other hand, won in Boripe, Ilesa East, Ayedire, Ifedayo, Ife Central, Ayedaade, Iwo, Olaoluwa, Isokan, Atakumosa East, Irewole, Ife South, and Ife East LGAs.
