2023 Presidency: APC reacts to emergence of Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to the emergence of Senator Kashim Shettima as running mate to its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

KEMI FILANI NEWS had earlier reported that Tinubu announced Shettima as his running mate after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at his Daura home in Katsina State on Sunday.

The ruling APC described Shettima as a competent, capable and reliable choice while commending Tinubu for picking the former Borno State Governor as his running mate.

In a tweet on its verified Twitter handle, the ruling party wrote: “Our great party congratulates H.E. Kashim Shettima on his emergence as the running mate to our presidential candidate, H.E. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. A truly competent, capable, reliable and able choice.”

Recall that earlier in the day, Tinubu’s placeholder, Kabiru Masari, announced that he was stepping down from the position in a statement addressed to APC members.
