There has been jubilation as a 68-year-old woman successfully delivered of twins (male and female) by doctors at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
In a statement released by the Chairman of LUTH’s Medical Advisory Committee Prof. W. L. Adeyemo, it was gathered that the lady who got pregnant for the first time through In vitro fertilisation (IVF), gave birth to her babies on Tuesday April 14.
She is said to have broken a record as she is the ‘oldest verifiable’ first time mother in Nigeria and in Africa.
