Woman who went viral for drinking her dog’s urine explains why she does it

A young woman who went viral after she was filmed drinking her dog’s urine has taken to social media to explain why she does it, even as experts warn against it

The yet to be identified lady was captured in a now viral video taking her dog’s pee and drinking it. The video disgusted quite a number of people who in turn shared the video and causing her more fame

While being captured, she said;

“Many of you have asked me how I always look so good, how my makeup always looks so perfect, or how I always have this natural glow…”
“Until I first drank my dog’s pee, I was depressed, I was sad, and I had bad acne.”
“Dog pee also has vitamin A in it, vitamin E in it, and it has 10 grams of calcium, and it’s also proven to help cure cancer.”

However, experts have warned against the move owing to the toxins and acids that can reside in the urine.

While speaking to Allure, a certified holistic nutritionist identified as Joy McCarthy discussed on the said topic saying;

“Urine is mostly made up of water, lots of urea, creatinine, various electrolytes, uric acid, trace proteins, and low levels of antibodies and enzymes,”

She added that drinking urine from an animal could be an unsafe route for the body because of what the liquid might contain.

In her words;

“Herbicides have been detected in dog’s urine, likely from herbicide-treated lawns, antibiotics, and hormones, so I really don’t know that it’s the safest choice,”
