Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has shared pictures showing how he and his wife turned up for a Church service on Christmas Day.
The service which took place at the St. James Anglican Church, Remo Anglican Diocese in Iperu-Remo, saw the governor rocking a white agbada while his wife wore a floral native attire.
Taking to social media, Dapo Abiodun shared a message to appreciate the good people of his State for the mandate given to him to lead them.
He wrote:
Merry Christmas, Ogun State People.
I thank God and you for my historic sweeping victory in the election that made me Governor. You all voted for me in a manner that cannot be over appreciated. It is therefore not understandable how anyone could ever say my being Governor of Ogun State is stolen mandate, after a peaceful election and three legal victories.
This is especially un-Christmas-ly, and this was the position I maintained at the Christmas Service I attended yesterday at the St. James Anglican Church, Remo Anglican Diocese in Iperu-Remo.
As we wouldn’t be moved by the distractions of these noisemakers, I again promise in the mood of Christmas that the Ogun State people would continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy even beyond their expectation.
