‘You don’t have respect’ – Reactions as Toni Tones joins Shettima at NBA challenge
Nollywood actress Toni Tones has joined the #ShettimaChallenge alongside other social media users
The challenge was triggered by the outfit APC Vice Presidential candidate Kashim Shettima wore to the Nigerian Bar Association conference in Lagos yesterday, August 22.
While some Nigerians laughed off the trend, others saw it as an insult to the personality who was out there to represent his principal, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Recall that a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, had knocked the dressing of the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Kashim Shettima, at the Nigeria Bar Association Conference in Lagos State.
The event, held on Monday, was graced by the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, Peter Obi, respectively.
Shettima, who represented the standard bearer of the APC, Bola Tinubu, was dressed in a black suit and red tie, accompanied by a pair of gym shoes, which has stirred reactions from social media users.
Sharing a picture of Shettima at the event on his Twitter page, Omokri wrote, “This is Tinubu’s running mate at the NBA Conference today. Look at his feet. Who in his right mind wears a suit and tie and then puts on a pair of gym shoes to a conference?
“If Shettima does not know how to dress himself, how can he address Nigeria’s challenges?”

Dressing is not really an issue here. Rather it is the ability and knowledge needed to ensure we have a secure and robust economy. After all the man is not naked. Dressing can be improved upon. We should learn to respect elder. One day we will all grow old. Correction should be done genuinely nor sarcastically. May God bless us all.

Why is there so much noise about what His Excellency Kashim Shettima wore to the NBA Dinner. Most of those making all this noise can notcome close to what this man has achieved. To emerge as Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s running mate out of all other credible candidates out there makes him extra special. The most important thing is what does he bring to the table and not how well his ‘oyinbo fashion sense is. If Jay-Z the rap artist does it, all of you critics will be falling over yourselves to copy.
