Wizkid goes global with Beyonce as #BrownSkinGirlChallenge trends worldwide

Brown Skin Girl, a new song by Beyonce which features her daughter Blue Ivy and Nigerian singer, Wizkid, ha triggered a new social media trend with the Hashtag #BrownSkinGirlChallenge.

The song which encourages black girls to cherish their melanin skin, praises celebrities like Lupita Nyong’o, Naomi Campbell and Kelly Rowland who are known to be gorgeously dark in complexion.

Brown Skin Girl is part of Beyonce’s new album The Lion King: The Gift which she released on July 19.

The album features several African stars like Wizkid, Shatta Wale, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy and Tekno.
