Officers of the Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday evening stormed the home of Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti.
In a video making rounds on the internet, the men of the police command had raided his house in Allen Avenue while the singer, who was handcuffed, waited inside one of the police vehicles.
The spokesperson of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, says a warrant was duly obtained for the raid.
The video has since created a stir on the internet as many questioned the need for the raid.

Seun Kuti assault policeman
Kemi Filani reported on Saturday that Seun Kuti trended on all social media platforms over a video of him physically assaulting a Nigerian police officer.
In the viral video, Seun Kuti could be seen confronting a policeman at Third Mainland Bridge.
Speaking out on his Instagram story, Seun Kuti alleged that the policeman wanted to kill him and his family.
The son of late legendary singer, Fela Kuti stated that he has proof of it, but he isn’t one to chase clout.
He added that the policeman had apologized to him and he had agreed not to press charges.
IG of Police orders for Seun Kuti’s arrest
Hours after the video went viral, Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba ordered his arrest.
The IG had equally ordered a speedy and full investigation into the remote and immediate cause(s) of the alleged assault and the prosecution of the suspect accordingly.
Taking to his Instagram story, Seun Kuti stated that he welcomed the investigation and will give his full cooperation.
He also prayed to IG that whoever is wrong should be indicted.
The singer was later arrested and arraigned in court but was granted bail.
