It is the 12th wedding anniversary of Nollywood actress, Ufuoma McDermott and her husband Steven McDermott.
The biracial couple who got married in 2010 are celebrating 12 years of marital bliss.
In the wake of singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu death from domestic violence, Ufuoma McDermott cried out to Nigerians for prayers as she and her husband journey through life together.
The actress also seized the opportunity to share an uplifting message to encourage couples and those aspiring to get married.
Ufuoma made it known that marriage is indeed beautiful and one has to smile more than they cry.
However, there is no perfect marriage as every marriage is filled with tears and ‘bullshit’ but one needs to have self love.
The highly revered actress warned couples not to allow anyone make them feel that they deserve less and deserve to be beaten.
She wrote, “Marriage is beautiful. You have to smile more than you cry. And yes, you’ll cry. It can NEVER work without self love. Two broken people come together to manage each other’s bullshit. No let one person tell you say his/her bullshit is better than yours and your own bullshit need beating. Na lie! So cheers to Steven & Ufuoma’s bullshit of 12 years. We’re indeed blessed”.
Kemi Filani news recalls Ufuoma McDermott had taken to social media to celebrate her father as he clocked ‘age 85’ in February 2022.
A photo shared on her Instagram page captured her father sitting on a couch, and his appearance made many doubted his age.
Ufuoma McDermott averred that God has been faithful, and it’s been 85 years of God’s goodness. She prayed that everyone who desires old age would experience and embrace it.
She wrote: 85 years of God’s goodness. Happy birthday daddy. God has been good indeed. Today, I pray for as many as desire old age: They will experience and embrace it in bliss. May #OldAge be our portion.
