A Nigerian pastor, identified as Pastor Fortune Makarios has come under fire on social media for insinuating late actor, Mr Ibu died because he didn’t serve God.
Taking to his Facebook page, the young pastor compared Pastor Adeboye, who is 82 years old to Mr Ibu, who died at 62. Questioning what his fans and followers learned from this, he admonished his followers to use their lives to serve God.
The clergyman went on to pray against untimely death.
“The Man on the left is a Pastor and He is Celebrating His 82-year-old Birthday today.
The brother on the right is a comedian and He just died at 62 today

Reacting to it, Daddy Freeze, Mofe Duncan, and netizens slammed the clergyman for his statement.
Daddy Freeze reminded him that Pastor Adeboye’s son died and he was just 42 years old. He wrote, “Yet Adeboye’s 42-year-old son who was also a pastor kpai 20 years younger than Mr Ibu. Let’s bring our senses before creating unhinged narratives

Similarly, a Twitter social media user, identified as Albert Nat Hyde had revealed why marriage was a loss to Mr Ibu.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter now known as X, he listed out the losses marriage brought to him and how it contributed to his untimely death.
He noted how his first wife divorced him and took away his savings, his second wife accused him of sleeping with his daughter, he suffered from diabetes, his wife was making monetary demands from him while he was dying, he sold almost all his properties, his leg was amputated and lot more.
Kemi Filani reported on Saturday evening that the veteran actor, who has been battling for his life for months, had kicked the bucket. The news was made known by a healthcare worker, where the actor was said to have kicked his last bucket.
The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas while confirming his death revealed that he died of Cardiac Arrest.
His death has thrown the industry into mourning as he was the beloved of many and had made our childhood memorable. Recall that in October, last year, Mr Ibu had cried out to the public for help as he battled an ailment that could get him amputated. Music sensations Davido and P-Square, along with the popular personality Tunde Ednut, and former senate president, Bukola Saraki had come to his aide.
The actor underwent 7 surgeries which were all successful, and had his leg amputated twice. At some point, his health deteriorated and the actor lost his voice in the process. However, in January, the veteran was discharged from the hospital to the excitement of his fans and lovers, and his junior colleague, Ken Erics paid him a visit at his home.
