Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala has drummed support for the adopted daughter of Mr Ibu, Jasmine Okafor as she reacted to his painful death.
It is no longer news that the veteran, who has been battling an ailment for months now, gave up the ghost on Saturday. Taking to her Instagram page, Doris Ogala surprised many as she stood up for Jasmine Okafor, who has been taking lots of heat for the past few days.
Expressing how broken she is, she stated that if Jasmine was still with Mr Ibu, he wouldn’t have died. Sending a message to Jasmine, she assured her that she would be fine as she noted how Jasmine tried but the family pushed him away.
“Honestly I’m broken. If Jasmine was still there Ibu would not die.
I can tell you this for free.
May His soul rest in peace
@ladyjasminec you will be fine baby. I KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU. YOU TRIED. THEY PUSHED YOU AWAY. YET WAS STILL USING U.. GOD KNOWS THE BEST. *MAY”.
In another post, she stated that people played with Ibu’s life as she claimed that the family was after his money and didn’t care for him. She slammed them for never showing him love.
Doris stood on grounds that Jasmine was the only one who showed him love and care until they pushed her out of the family.
“This people played with Ibu’s life.
They were after money and did not care for him.
You people never showed him real love.
Mad people around him.
The only person that showed Mr Ibu True Love was Jasmine.
I don’t care what anyone says about her. Saw through all of them. I was there.
Mad people.

Early this year, Jasmine and Mr Ibu’s son were rearrested by the police and were awaiting court charges. However, Jasmine shut down the reports by sharing a video of her and actor, Deyemi Okanlawon.
Two weeks later, the Nigerian police confirmed that it had re-arrested her son, Daniel Onyeabuchi for allegedly defrauding the actor of the sum of N55 million.
The investigation unearthed text messages via WhatsApp between Jasmine and Daniel detailing how they conspired and hatched their criminal plans. It was also exposed that the two had a sham marriage at the Ikoyi Magistrate Registry with plans to escape from the country to the UK where they intended to settle with their proceeds of crime.
Taking to her YouTube page a week back, Jasmine shed light on the incident as she narrated how she met the actor, who was a friend to her late father and had acted as a father figure to her following his demise.
In all of this, Doris Ogala had stood solidly behind her, defending her against media attacks.
