Following the mass gay arrest by police officers in Delta state, a throng of people including core celebrities and influencers have been quick to drop their opinion on it.
Twitter influencer Daniel Regha also expressed his opinion about it.
He stated the hypocrisy of the arrest. According to him, Bobrisky, James Brown and Enioluwa who are known to be cross dressers were still walking free.
He went on to say that until those set of cross dressers are arrested, the younger generation will continue to emulate them.
He said,
“Bobrisky, James Brown, Eni & others who champion crass-dressing are still walking free;
Until these people are prosecuted, many will continue to emulate. Arresting 100 cross-dressers in Delta is one thing, but why ignore their mentors? The police should makg an example of ’em.”
The police pro at Delta had replied to his tweet by also stating that Cross dressing was not a crime. He also adviced Daniel Regha to get his facts right next time.
“Daniel, get your facts right, they were not arrested for cross-dressing, they were arrested for conducting and attending a gay wedding ceremony. Bring a part of the law that stipulates punishment for cross-dressing or categorize it as an offense.”
