On Tuesday night, actor Ernest Asuzu slumped and died, he was aged 37.
Prior to his death, the actor battled stroke amidst personal problems that kept him out of the limelight.
A talented and handsome Nollywood actor and musician, Bobby Michaels in a chat with Vanguard entertainment has now revealed why that the late Ernest Asuzu was abandoned by a lot of friends and family.
According to Bobby Michaels, he was abandoned because they felt he was battling a spiritual problem.
We were close friends from when we first ventured into Nollywood many years ago. But I would say we were closer years ago. .. I think he may have gotten into hard times which were probably caused by depression or something of the sort…..but when things got really bad, I can say that a lot of people left him to his fate, until he got rescued by a few kind individuals. Stories of how he was thought to have spiritual problems at some time scared a lot of folks from him back then too.
Originally from Imo state, Asuzu grew up in Lagos state where he had his primary and secondary school education.
Asuzu rose to limelight in the 1990s after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster ‘Another Campus Queen.’
He went to star alongside some of Nollywood’s greats like Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Emeka Ike and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde.
He reportedly starred in over 150 movies during his career in Nollywood.
