Nigerian singer and rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem has released a new song, which is a dedication to the celebrities who helped save his life.
The Kidney failure survivor mentioned names like actress, Doris Ogala, D1, Dayo Adeneye, Ayo Shoneye, and others.
He, however, apologized to those whose names weren’t mentioned as he affirmed his love and appreciation for them.
“Don’t be mad at me if I haven’t called your name, I dedicate this song just to thank you all and I want you to know that I love you all. May the good Lord guide and protect and bless you all.
Eedris Abdulkareem diagnosed with kidney failure
Kemi Filani reported in June that Eedris Abdulkareem was diagnosed with kidney failure.
His friend and colleague Myke Pam, had made this known in a statement released on behalf of this behalf.
Myke Pam said the ‘Nigeria Jaga Jaga’ singer was undergoing dialysis at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos. He added that a kidney transplant was scheduled to be done.
In a later update, singer, MI Abaga revealed that the singer’s wife had volunteered to donate one of her kidneys to him.
Eedris Abdulkareem speaks on his wife donating a kidney for him
Following his successful surgery, Eedris Abdulkareem had opened up on the kind of relationship he shared with his wife, Yetunde.
He revealed that even before his wife, donated a kidney for him, he had always known that she could do anything for him.
Speaking against the backdrop of the new song titled, ‘Thank You’, which he released to appreciate her, Eedris told Saturday Beats, “I had always known that she could do anything for me; just like she knows that I can do anything for her. It has always been that way with us.”
He however stated that this was not the first song he was dedicating to his wife.
“Making a special song for her is one of those things I am doing to thank her, though this is not the first song I have dedicated to her ‘royal loveliness’.”
