Nigerian singer David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has sparked mixed reactions online after revealing he might use the money realized from his N1 million birthday challenge as a giveaway.
Kemi Filani News recalls Davido, on Tuesday night, 16th November, handed a task to his close friends and associates ahead of his 29th birthday set to take place on 21st November 2021.
In a post via his Instagram story, the Nigerian celebrity challenged his friends and everyone who had enjoyed his music to send 1 million Naira each to his account.
In less than 24 hours, Davido raked over N100 million from many celebrities such as Mr Eazi, Nengi, Dorathy Bachor, Oba Elegushi, Cubana Chiefpries, etc.
On Thursday night, 18th November 2021, popular music executive Soso Soberekon completed the money to N200 million.
Meanwhile, Davido has been dragged and criticized for calling out people and compelling them for a birthday gift since the challenge.
However, in a post shared on the microblogging platform, Davido said he might give out all the money realised from the challenge.
He wrote: Might give it all away.
Reacting to this, some fans opined they would not be surprised if Davido decides to use the money as a giveaway, while others insist he keeps the money because it was a gift.
