Chris Brown surprises many as he showers love on his ex, Rihanna as she welcomes first child

As congratulatory messages are pouring in for American singer, Rihanna and her boyfriend, ASAP Rocky as they welcome their first child, her ex boyfriend, Chris Brown has surprised many as he showed love to the singer.

Hours after the news broke out that the singer and her beau had welcomed their first child, a baby boy on Friday, May 13, Chris Brown was among the first celebrity to congratulate the singer.

Chris Brown took to his Instagram story to shower love on Rihanna.

He wrote, “Congratulations”.

This is surprising to many as Chris Brown is known for his toxic behavior to Rihanna.

Rihanna dated Chris Brown in 2007, three years after she delved into the music world.

She and Brown dated from 2007 – 2009, the two broke up after Chris Brown physically assaulted Rihanna and was arrested days before the Grammys.

He pleaded guilty and served five years of probation six months of community service and one year of domestic violence counseling.

Rihanna had even filed a restraining order against Brown in February 2011, but the order was eased on condition that he wouldn’t annoy, molest or harass Rihanna.

The two surprisingly rekindled their romance in late 2012, only to part ways for good months later.
