Nollywood actor, Charles Inojie has narrated his bittersweet encounter with his colleague, Mr Ibu at the hospital.
He recounted how he visited the ailing actor’s private ward in the ICU, with his colleague, Chineyere Wilfred, and met Jasmine, Mr Ibu’s wife and a female friend of theirs.
According to him, as Mr Ibu sighted them, his eyes lit up and they started conversing and playfully insulting one another. He stated that the comic actor ended up entertaining them and acting like he wasn’t in pain.

I never thought I could ever be able to relate this chapter of my encounter with Mr Ibu on his sick bed. This is because I had this funny feeling that it had the potential of making light of a very dire situation as his condition presented.”

I walked into his private ward in the ICU in the company of Chinyere Wilfred at whose behest we made the journey to Ever Care where he is being treated.
We had just finished from a set, and she suggested that we take the opportunity to visit Ibu. With us were Jasmine, Mrs Ibu, and a woman I believe is her friend.
As soon as we stepped into the room, his eyes lit up, and he retorted”.

Kemi Filani reported last week that Mr Ibu, is currently in the hospital, battling an ailment, which has cost him his leg.
Jasmine, his adopted daughter revealed that his leg was amputated to increase his chances of recovery as he had undergone 7 successful surgeries.
Following the news of his ailment, many Nigerian celebrities like Davido, Psquare, Tunde Ednut, and more rallied to his aid.
