“Why my father thought I would become a Vagabond” BBNaija Bambam spills, opens up on growing up with strict parents (Video)

Bambam says her father thought she would become a Vagabond

Big Brother Naija’s former housemate, Bamike Adenibuyan popularly known as Bambam has given an insight into her growing up life.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Bambam revealed that she grew up with strict parents as her father was a Deeper Life member.

She disclosed that her father thought she would end up a ‘Vagabond’ because of her personality, hence, why he was very strict with her.

Bambam added that the moment she graduated from University, her dad told her, he didn’t want her to get fat on his couch and as such, should learn to survive on her own and not be a liability.

After her NYSC, Bambam left the house and was searching for a platform to showcase her talent, hence why she went into Big Brother’s house.

“My parents were very strict, my dad said the moment I graduated, he didn’t want me to get fat on his couch. He said I was on my own and was worried about how I would survive. He didn’t want me to be a liability, so I made it easy for him. After NYSC, I didn’t go back home, I stayed at home.

I had such a good upbringing, a Deeper Life dad, and a nurse as a mother. My dad was worried that I would become a Vagabond.

I needed a platform to be able to showcase my skills, that’s how I landed up on Big Brother”.

In a past interview, Bambam revealed how her parents weren’t supportive of her acting career. She stated that her parents felt she was stup!d, but they later changed their minds when she participated in BBN and started succeeding.

Bambam is no doubt using the lessons she learned from her parents in bringing her two kids up.

Some months back, the mother of two had given her parenting advice on an interesting subject, which many parents fear (gender change).

In a podcast, Bambam stated that if her child ever approached her for a gender change, she would reorient and educate her on the need to retain her gender.

As an African mum, if her daughter remains persistent on her gender change, she would take it to God to help her fix her daughter’s mind.

Bambam added that she would go the extra mile to change her daughter’s decision by showing her her private parts and that of the opposite g£nder.

In other news, BamBam spoke on reasons celebrity marriages crash, declaring that her marriage to Teddy A, was ordained by God and she can’t relate to the reasons her colleagues’ marriages are packing up.

BamBam also noted that her marriage must work because it’s mandatory for her to live an exemplary life for her two daughters
