Nollywood actor and movie producer, Adebayo Salami otherwise known as Oga Bello has opened up on his health battle.
The veteran revealed in an exclusive interview with Nigerian Tribune that he has been battling hypertension for more than 40 years.
The father of Femi Adebayo noted how old age always comes with various health challenges which he has accepted. However, he is seeking God’s grace to enjoy the rest of his life in good health.
Oga Bello stated that despite his health challenges, he still can produce and act in movies and will continue to do so.
Speaking on his health challenge, he revealed that he has been battling hypertension since he was 28 years old.
“At this age, I still have the ability to produce and act in movies. In fact, I just finished producing my movie. It is a fact that you can’t attain this age and not nurse one ailment or the other.
“I have been battling with hypertension for more than 40 years and I have lived with it. To God be the glory, I am still alive and well. I will continue to pray to God for grace to live the rest of my life in good health and happiness.”

Oga Bello isn’t the only celebrity battling health challenges.
His junior colleague, Kemi Afolabi had opened up on battling lupus.
In an emotional interview last year, Kemi Afolabi opened up on her discovery of lupus and revealed that she had just five more years to live.
Following her bombshell revelation, many of her colleagues solicited help for her to receive the best medical care abroad.
Also, Nollywood actor, Chidi Mokeme opened up on battling Bell’s palsy, which made him take a break from the industry and retreated from the spotlight.
Likening the infection to a stroke, Chidi revealed that it affected one side of his face, and as an actor, he couldn’t make a public appearance.
To worsen things, doctors said the infection was incurable and didn’t have treatment.
