Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi has shared a cryptic post hours after reigniting movie battle with her colleague and rival, Funke Akindele.
Taking to her Instagram page to share a video of her, Toyin stated that no one is perfect, as she noted how people make mistakes. According to her, people say the wrong things, do the wrong things and fall. However, they get up, learn, grow, move on and live.
“Nobody is perfect. We make mistakes. We say wrong things. We do wrong things. We fall. We get up. We learn. We grow. We move on. We live!!”.
This is coming hours after Toyin Abraham reignited movie battle with Funke Akindele after she teased her newest project.
Taking to her Instagram page, Toyin revealed that a sequel to her popular movie, Alakada, will premiere in December. She announced that the sequel’s title will be ‘Bad and Boujee’.
The news had left many divided as some noted how the actress was following in the footsteps of her rival, Funke Akindele, who announced a week back a sequel to her hit movie, Jenifa. She revealed that a spinoff from the Jenifa franchise, Everybody Loves Jenifa, would premiere in December.
There have been years of rivalry between the two screen goddesses, Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele, as they have both dominated the TV screen for years and are still doing so.
Their alleged silent beef was established when they both chose the same date, September 10, 2021, to release their movies; ‘Ghost and the Tout Too’ in the cinemas and ‘Omo Ghetto the Saga’ on Netflix.
However, the two ladies settled their differences last year as Toyin Abraham celebrated Funke on her birthday, and she reciprocated. Toyin had also attended Funke Akindele’s movie premiere, which further shut down rumours of animosity between the box office Queens.
Last week, Toyin penned an open letter to Funke, speaking about how fan wars caused their unnecessary feud and congratulated her for achieving the one billion landmark in the cinema. Funke reacted to the post, wishing Toyin all the best.
