After completing his education at Newnan High School and Elm Street Elementary, Jackson joined the band Dixie Steel. Midway through his twenties, in 1983, Alan began writing music. Campbell introduced Alan Jackson to the record company “Arista Records.” In 1989, the label supported the latter for the single “Blue Blooded Woman,” which was quickly followed by “Here in The Real World.”
The second album by Jackson was released in the early 1990s. Dallas and “Love’s Got A Hold On You,” two songs from the first album, “Don’t Rock The Jukebox,” were well praised by critics and reached the top of the music charts. He co-wrote a few tracks on the album “High Lonesome” as well.
One of Jackson’s most well-known albums and third release was “A Lot About Livin’ (And a Little ’bout Love).” Both music lovers and critics praised the songs on this album, including “She’s Got the Rhythm (And I Got the Blues),” which Randy Travis co-wrote. In 1994, Jackson was again honored for this work.
One of Jackson’s most active years of his career was 1994. Jackson’s fourth album, “Who I Am,” was released at this period, and his writing abilities were also recognized. In a popular music countdown, the song “If I Could Make A Living,” which he co-wrote, took first place.

His subsequent album, “Under the Influence,” was published in 1999. Even when rock music significantly influenced country music, Alan stuck with the classic country sound on the album.
Let It Be Christmas, Jackson’s album with a Christmas theme, was released in 2002. The song “Timeless and True Love,” a duet he had written with well-known vocalist Jeannie Kemdell, was released the next year.
