The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has revealed that the Lagos and Abuja airport will be opened for international flights from August 29, 2020 after four months of closure.
Kemi Filani earlier reported that Nigeria shut its airspace to international travel on March 23, 2020, to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
The minster via his verified Twitter handle, made this announcement in a tweet on Monday.
He tweeted, “Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the August 29, 2020 beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption. Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience.”
