Social media influencer, Noble Igwe has stirred up controversy by saying that children don’t owe their parents anything.
Noble Igwe who took to Twitter stated that children don’t need to give their parents anything in their old age which the parents ought to have prepared for.
“The biggest scam ever invented by parents was/is making their children send them money in their own age. I repeat you don”t owe your parents anything. They were here before you and should have prepared for old age. Parent are always taking and taking. Stop the pressure”, he tweeted.
He later shared another post in which he stated that the previous post he made was just him being sarcastic.
Noble Igwe wrote: “Nigerians don’t read and it’s even worse with people in the media.
For months now, I have been correcting woke people on the insults they heap on their parents and all the things they said our parents did / are doing wrong.
The other day, someone said because our Nigerian parents don’t say “ I love you” they don’t know love. Some say,we don’t owe our parents anything.
Anyways, with sacarsm, I decided to give them back everyday, for people who follow me and have sense, they know the origin of these discussion, for people who ho only read on blogs, good luck.
For those who really care, you know how much family mean to me and how I show off my family.
I don’t care about the insults, just remember that your children will learn from the free internet and these things are all being said.
Love your family”.
