Former Minister of Education and Bring Back Our Girls activist, Obiageli Ezekwesili has announced that she will be running in the 2019 presidential elections.
Ezekwesili made her intention known in a statement on Sunday where she said, “I want to run for, and win, the 2019 presidential election to serve and put the citizens first by mobilizing and taking decisive actions on a number of big ideas that will help all of us build an exceptional nation,”
The 55-year-old who served as Vice President for Africa at the World Bank has not announced the party she will be running under.
She will be contending with APC candidate and sitting president, Muhammadu Buhari. Opposition party, PDP is yet to declare its candidate.
