Spanish football expert, Julien Laurens has stated that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is only interested in signing Paul Pogba, not Neymar.
Pogba is heavily linked to Real Madrid but Manchester United are not willing to sell despite shopping for his possible replacement by hinting at Bruno Fernandes.
Neymar on the hand has made it clear that he wants to leave Paris St Germain and return to Barcelona, but pundits feel Real Madrid may high-jack the deal.
But according to Julien Laurens:
“Zinedine Zidane wants Paul Pogba, that’s all he wants,” he said on ESPN FC.
“He doesn’t want Neymar, he doesn’t want anyone else, he wants Paul Pogba.
“If Fiorentino Perez doesn’t bring him Paul Pogba but signs Neymar instead, I’m not sure Zidane would be very happy with the president.
“He doesn’t need Neymar, he doesn’t want Neymar
“Going forward, he’s got a lot of options on the left and on the right.
“He really needs a new midfielder or maybe two if you think [Joey] van de Beek will happen as well. Paul Pogba is certainly the priority here, not Neymar.”
