World Cup play-offs: Ghana has quality players but Super Eagles are fantastic -Osimhen

Osimhen

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has described the Black Stars of Ghana as a side filled with quality.

The Napoli striker, however, expressed the believe that Nigeria has what it takes to match the Ghanaians, just as he called for the kind of support the Super Eagles got during the just concluded 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.

Osimhen said this ahead of the Ghana Vs Nigeria World Cup Play-offs first-leg taking place in Kumasi, Ghana on Friday night.

“Of course, I think so and like I said before, they [Black Stars] have some quality players and we also have a fantastic team and squad depth as well that can get the job done.

“The support has been massive even from the AFCON. So we need them to keep supporting us home and away,” he said.

Meanwhile, former Ghanaian international, Asamoah Gyan, has urged the Black Stars to step on the pitch against the Super Eagles like wounded lions.

The former Sunderland striker gave the advice on Twitter on Friday.

He wrote, “The nation is fully behind you, to make it to the World Cup after all the setbacks is a game-changer achievement for the nation, yourselves & your families. Step on that pitch as wounded lions & go make history once again,”
“Go Ghana Black Stars Go for Gold.”
