Morgan Gibbs-White: Wolves reject £25m bid from Everton for midfielder

Everton’s offer for Wolves’ midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has been rejected as the former made an offer worth £25 million plus add-ons.

Gibbs-White, who spent last season on loan at Sheffield United, scored in Wolves’ 3-0 victory over the weekend in preseason.

The Wolves believe that the England Under-21 international can be a major contributor to Bruno Lage’s squad this season.

Gibbs-White is a Wolves academy product who debuted with the first team in January 2017. Since then, the midfielder has appeared 86 times for Wolves, but only 20 times in the Premier League over the past three seasons.

Last season, Gibbs-White played a more offensive role for Sheffield United and scored 12 goals in 37 Championship matches, helping the Blades reach the play-off semifinals, where they were defeated by newly promoted Nottingham Forest.
