Liverpool striker, Mo Salah, has said his side were able to beat rivals Manchester United due to the top performance they displayed during the game.
The Premier League match played at Old Trafford saw a brace from Salah, and goals from Luiz Dias and Sadio Mane to end the game 4-0.
United were, however, without Ronaldo due to the death of his newborn son.
Speaking after the game, Salah told Sky Sports, “They always try to give us the ball in a situation like one against one.”
He added, “We have a clean sheet here, a clean sheet there [at Old Trafford]. We get to the game and want to score one goal.
“Once we get the first, we want to get the second, once we get the second, we will go for a third. But I think it’s a top performance from us, here and away. Hopefully, we will carry on like this.”
Liverpool will face Everton this weekend while Manchester United face another crack against rivals Arsenal as both teams struggle for top four finish.
