Lionel Messi has opened up on how he feels about the 3-0 thrashing of Liverpool last night during the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final.
The game which held at Camp Nou saw Messi tearing apart the Liverpool squad and getting a brace for himself.
In a post he made on social media shortly after the game, the Argentine shared a picture of him and Suarez in the dressing room with the below caption.
Happy with the result of tonight. But we still have to go to Anfield, a very difficult court, where Liverpool who is a team will tighten a lot. The most important moment of the season is coming and we have to be more together and United than ever. finally, I want to take advantage to send a hug to @ikercasillas and wish him to recover very soon.
Reacting to the brilliance of the five time Ballon d’Or winner, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said:
“In these moments, he is unstoppable.
“My boys didn’t show him too much respect or treat him harshly to try to stop him, but he is a world-class player and he showed that again tonight. What else can I say?”
