The Super Falcons of Nigeria, the current champions, are travelling to Rabat, Morocco in preparation for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations there.
On Monday morning, the group boarded Royal Air Maroc and departed from Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
The players and their representatives are scheduled to arrive at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport at 11.20 a.m. today.
They will play all of their group games in Rabat after a two-hour road trip there.
In Group C, the Super Falcons will play title rivals South Africa, Burundi, and Botswana.
On Monday, July 4, Randy Waldrum’s charges will take on the South African Banyana Banyana in their opening match.
The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand, and the four semifinalists in the competition, which runs from July 2 to July 23, will play there.
