UCL: You’re disrespecting Man United – Andy Cole slams those saying Man City are EPL best team ever 

Former Manchester United man Andy Cole has said that any talk of Manchester City being the best team in Premier League history is ‘a total lack of respect’ to the Red Devils.

Manchester City have already won both the Premier League title and FA Cup titles this season and can secure the treble on Saturday when they take on Italian giants Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul.

Winning the Champions League this season would see Pep Guardfola’s side match the immense achievement of the Red Devils in 1999 and inevitably comparisons are being made between the current City side and Alex Ferguson’s all-conquering team from 24 years ago.

Andy Cole was a big part of Alex Ferguson’s side and is dismissive of any suggestion that the current Guardiola’s team  has eclipsed him and his teammates.

“Already calling Manchester City the best team in Premier League history is a total lack of respect for Manchester United, especially from people who weren’t in that position too,’ said Cole, speaking on behalf of BoyleSports about Champions League Final Odds.

“You can tell there is a lot of hatred towards Manchester United because of their success. Fair play if Manchester City win the treble but that doesn’t make them a better team than we were.”
