Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel, has apologised to new signing Harry Kane after were thrashed 3-0 by RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.
Dani Olmo scored a hat-trick in an impressive victory at the Allianz Arena, as Leipzig came out on top in Germany’s equivalent to England’s Community Shield final.
Former Tottenham captain Kane came on as a second-half substitute to huge cheers just hours after his £86m move was confirmed.
‘I’m just sorry for Harry Kane, he probably thinks we haven’t trained for four weeks,’ Tuchel said.
‘Our performance today had nothing to do with what we set out to do. It’s a very bitter evening, I’m sorry.’
