Transfer: Sadio Mane asks Liverpool star about German housing amid Bayern Munich links
If Sadio Mane joins Bayern Munich this summer, he is said to have asked current Liverpool teammate Thiago if he can move into his German residence.
In the midst of intense transfer speculation about Mane’s future, he appears to be planning a move to Munich.
According to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old has asked the Spain international if he can move into his city home.
He’s considering staying at the former Bayern Munich star’s home in Bavaria and has spoken with him about the possibility.
Thiago won seven Bundesliga titles and the Champions League in 2020 during his seven seasons with Bayern.
He then joined Liverpool, and his home in Germany has been vacant since he moved to England.
Mane, meanwhile, is rumored to be interested in leaving Liverpool after six successful seasons.
Bayern Munich is keen to sign him and has made an initial bid of £21 million.
Liverpool, however, turned down their offer, valuing him at around £42.5 million.
While on international duty, Mane, who has one year left on his contract, hinted at a move.
“Like everyone else, I’m on social media and I see the comments,” he said.
“Isn’t it between 60 to 70 per cent of Senegalese want me to leave Liverpool? I will do what they want. We will see soon. Don’t be in a hurry because we will see this together.”
But Mane backtracked on his comments after starring for Senegal against Benin.
“I spoke yesterday while joking with a bit of humour and it was everywhere. I think we’ll stop there,” he told reporters.
“Liverpool is a club I respect a lot. The fans adopted me since day one. Regarding the future, we’ll see.”
