Southampton’s 19-year-old midfielder Romeo Lavia has rejected a move to Liverpool.

The midfielder wants to join Chelsea instead as talkSPORT reports.

This was after the Reds had agreed a £60million deal with Southampton.

The Blues have agreed to submit £50m plus add-ons to the Saints for the teenage midfielder.

Recall that Liverpool had made a swift move to hijack the Blues’ move Moises Caicedo but the Ecuadorian snubbed the Reds, making up his mind for a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool agreed a British record £111million deal with Brighton to sign the player while Chelsea subsequently agreed a £115m move for the highly rated midfield machine.
