Transfer: Romelu Lukaku dropped from Pochettino’s team

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will not be travelling with the squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.

The Belgium international is pushing Chelsea to sell him to Inter Milan this summer. 

However, Inter Milan were said to have pulled out of the race to sign the Belgian after seeing two offers for Lukaku rejected by the Blues.

But a fresh report says that the Italian will return with a third once they have agreed a deal to sell goalkeeper Andre Onana to Manchester United.

Lukaku, who has turned down approaches from Juventus and Saudi Arabia, wants his future resolved so he does not have to report back for pre-season with Chelsea.

New Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino said last week Lukaku was due at the club’s Cobham training ground by Thursday.
