Rabbi Matondo, a winger for Schalke, is close to joining Rangers.
The Welsh international, who spent time as a young player at Cardiff City and Manchester City, joined the Bundesliga team in 2019 for about £11 million.
Numerous clubs were interested in the 21-year-old after he recently spent time on loan at Stoke City and Cercle Brugge; however, Rangers are now hoping to finalize a deal for him.
He would join international teammate Tom Lawrence, John Souttar, and Antonio Colak as the fourth player to arrive at Ibrox, with Rangers hoping to add more players to their roster throughout the transfer window.
