Renato Sanches’ transfer from LOSC Lille is finally nearing completion at Paris Saint-Germain.
Sanches had been linked to AC Milan for a while; the club had hoped to have signed both the midfielder and Sven Botman, a teammate from Lille, in June.
However, negotiations between Milan and both players broke down, and it appears that they missed out on both since Botman signed with Newcastle United earlier this month.
Luis Campos, the new sporting director at PSG, is a big fan of the Portuguese international, who he signed when he was at Lille. Because he managed the player while at the club, the new PSG manager Christophe Galtier is also a huge fan of the player.
According to 90min, Georginio Wijnaldum can now leave the team on loan as a result of the signing of Sanches.
When he joined PSG around this time last year, Wijnaldum was primarily used as a reserve, making just 18 starts and appearing 13 times off the bench.
Premier League’s sides Leicester City, Everton, Wolves, and West Ham have all expressed interest in Wijnaldum, but Roma has recently moved to the head of the line.
Additionally, according to 90min, Roma has enquired about the availability of defender Eric Bailly with a view to loaning him out to Serie A from Manchester United.
