Transfer: Nuno Tavares exits Arsenal as defender arrives Marseille on a season-long loan

The transfer of Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares to Marseille on loan for the entire season has been officially announced.

The 22-year-old joined the Emirates last summer to provide cover for Kieran Tierney, eventually appearing in 28 games across all competitions, but the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko pushed Tavares down the pecking order.

He has now decided to stay with Marseille for the upcoming year.
