Tottenham are in pole position to sign Ivan Perisic on a free transfer, according to GOAL, as the winger looks certain to quit Inter.
Perisic’s contract with San Siro expires at the conclusion of the season, and recent negotiations for a new term have failed to produce results.
Inter face an uphill struggle to persuade the Croatian to stay, with a move to the Premier League, where he would be reunited with Antonio Conte, looking increasingly plausible.
Perisic is wanted by a number of clubs, but Spurs are the frontrunners in the race to sign him.
Indeed, head coach Antonio Conte is pressuring the north London club to sign the 33-year-old, with whom he formerly worked at Inter.
With Conte at the helm, Perisic, who has been with the Nerazzurri since 2015, won his sole Serie A title in his career in the 2020-21 season.
Despite competition from Chelsea and Juventus for Perisic’s signature, he is now poised to join his former boss at Spurs.
